C-FAR elects new board of directors and working group chairs
URBANA--The C-FAR Board of Directors
was elected recently at the C-FAR annual meeting in Springfield
with officers elected at a follow-up meeting on February
29th. Two new directors joined the board that
now includes: Terry Wolf ñ Chairman (re-elected; Homer),
Carol Keiser ñ Vice Chair/Membership Chair (re-elected;
Carlinville), Constance Locher Bussard ñ Secretary/Treasurer
(re-elected; Springfield), Jack Erisman ñ Research Chair
(re-elected; Pana), David Downs ñ Research Vice Chair (Allerton),
Fred Bradshaw ñ Legislative Chair (Griggsville), and W.
Lyle Roberts, Jr. ñ Past Chair (Bloomington). Board members
Wolf, Erisman, and Keiser were elected for two-year terms
and board members Downs, Bussard, and Bradshaw were elected
for one-year terms.
During the annual meeting, the five
C-FAR working groups met for updates on the Strategic Research
Initiative (SRI) external reviews, discussions on industrial
hemp research possibilities, and to elect working group
chairs and vice chairs. C-FAR members play a key role in
determining research directions for C-FAR. Elected working
group chairs and vice chairs include:
